    How best to revise

    • Use your AQA History textbooks to create mind-maps and timelines of key time periods and events throughout the 4 topics.
    • Utilise GCSE Pod for short but effective revision.
    • Create revision flashcards for complex concepts – strengths and weaknesses of governments, change and continuity.
    • Practise past paper questions to familiarise yourself with exam techniques and skills needed for each paper.
    • Listen to History podcasts or watch films or documentaries – these will add to your revision but might not feel as much like work (see 'History at Home' on Teams)

    Additional information

Once you have revised a certain time period or section within a topic, attempt a past paper question in timed conditions to test your application of knowledge and exam technique.

Revising can become overwhelming, finding a revision strategy that works for you will help in building your knowledge and confidence in each topic.
