  • As a result of the forecast temperature, we have reviewed the activities and plans for all 3 trips on Thursday to ensure that everyone is still able to get the most out of the day and have a fantastic experience. All students have been briefed in assembly this week on the need to wear sunglasses/hats, their full Primet PE kit and suitable footwear appropriate for the weather and activities, as well as bringing sun cream and plenty of water. We recommend students coming to school with sun cream pre-applied and bring this with them to reapply during the day. For each trip, we are ensuring there is additional water supplied for each trip, and enough shade throughout the day to avoid being in the sun too long. We have also factored in additional and more regular drink breaks into each itinerary. Below are the adjustments for each year group trip. Year 7 We have taken the decision to alter the Year 7 Pendle Hill trip route. The trip will still begin and end at Barley car park. However, we will now be following the more shaded, wooded route of the Pendle Sculpture Trail in Aitken Wood. Year 8 We have liaised with The Leisure Box to ensure the indoor activities are as well-ventilated as possible with roof-fans in operation throughout the day. Outdoor activities have been shortened and will be reviewed on the day if they need to be amended further. Year 9 Go Ape have confirmed the treetop adventure trail is completely shaded and all other activities will take place under gazebos or shaded areas when needed. The schedule will also be adjusted if additional breaks are needed throughout the day. We are really looking forward to a memorable day making experiences together! Mr Farmer Assistant Principal

  • Primet hosted the 7 rounders tournament in the extreme sunshine on Tuesday and all girls that competed from the Pendle Schools did really well to cope. Our Primet girls again did us proud with some outstanding batting on display, with a high amount of rounders and half rounders being scored each game. Some hard-fought games saw us miss out by either a half rounder or full rounder on 3 games which showed how close the tournament was. Well done to the girls for finishing 4th and we are looking forward to building on the performance from this year when they are in year 8.

  • Students in 8C have been showcasing their skills and creativity in Food Technology, as part of their recent 'Cook's Choice' project. Each student planned and prepared their own dish, demonstrating independence, confidence and a range of practical cooking techniques. We were incredibly impressed with the effort, presentation and thought that went into each meal. A special mention goes to Ira, Annie, Rory and Esme, whose standout dishes really caught our attention – fantastic work! Well done to all of 8C for their enthusiasm and commitment in the kitchen!

  • Unfortunately, we are having to postpone the year 11 leavers assembly, we haven't taken this decision lightly, however, as we have Ofsted in school over the next two days, it was felt that we wouldn't be able to celebrate with students in the way they deserve, as many leaders and pastoral staff will be tied up with the visit. We have changed the date to Tuesday 23rd June at 2.30pm. Prom on Thursday is going ahead as planned. We look forward to seeing all year 11 students then to celebrate at both events.
