Talented mathematicians from five local primary schools gathered at Colne Primet Academy for a thrilling day of maths challenges and teamwork.
The event brought together pupils from Pendle Education Trust’s three primary schools—Castercliff Primary Academy, Casterton Primary Academy, and Pendle Primary Academy—alongside Reedley Primary School and Marsden Community Primary School.
The Primary Team Maths Challenge gave pupils the chance to tackle a variety of engaging mathematical activities, all while developing their teamwork and communication skills. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as students competed, collaborated, and celebrated their achievements.
Primet Assistant Principal, Mrs Leak, shared her enthusiasm for the event: “We had an amazing day seeing these really talented children engage with all of the challenges they faced and enjoying competing against each other. We're looking forward to welcoming more schools to take part in the event later in the school year.”
Congratulations to all the young mathematicians who took part - you’ve made your schools proud and shown that maths can be both challenging and fun!
