Our most recent Ofsted report highlights the caring and inclusive culture that we have worked hard to build together as a school community. Inspectors recognised that "Pupils, including those who speak English as an additional language, are proud to belong to the 'Primet family'" and that they "appreciate the attentive care shown to them by staff and being a member of a community that celebrates diversity."  

One of the strongest messages throughout the report is the positive difference that our staff make to the lives of young people. Ofsted noted that "the warm relationships that staff forge with pupils, alongside carefully tailored pastoral interventions, help pupils to feel safe and protected, overcome barriers and believe in themselves."  

Importantly, safeguarding was judged to be secure, with inspectors confirming that "the safeguarding standards are met" and recognising the open culture in which safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. 

The inspection also recognised the substantial work undertaken to improve behaviour and attendance. Inspectors found that "leaders have been highly successful in securing improvements in standards of behaviour" and that "strong routines each morning help to set the tone for the day." They further reported that "classrooms are calm spaces, where pupils can learn, and pupils behave well at social times."  

We were particularly pleased that Ofsted highlighted our inclusive ethos and support for vulnerable pupils, stating that we "have fostered an accepting community" and that pupils who join the school receive "a warm welcome from their peers and the support they need." The report also describes the school as "a haven, where staff care deeply about improving their hopes for the future" for pupils who need additional support.  

Inspectors praised our personal development provision, recognising that "through the thoughtfully designed personal development programme, staff inspire pupils to be the best version of themselves." They noted that pupils benefit from a "wealth of opportunities they might not otherwise experience" and are "proud to be part of a multicultural community."
