Students take part in National Cyber Festival

19 of our Year 10 students took part in the National Cyber Festival at Nelson and Colne College this week.

They learnt about the rapid expansion of cyber related industries in Lancashire and the support available for young people who may wish to pursue this as a career in the future. They started the morning using VR headsets to practice their interview skills, before taking part in a quiz on cyber security and gaining valuable insights into post 16 and 18 pathways. Their final activity was to become human 3D printers, working in teams and putting into practice their communication and problem-solving skills, whilst decorating biscuits. Students had an enjoyable and engaging day, benefiting from the array of facilities available at Nelson and Colne College.
