I am writing to inform you that Pendle Education Trust, as the admissions authority for Colne Primet Academy and West Craven High School, is commencing a consultation on the admission arrangements for the academic year 2027–2028.
In accordance with the Department for Education’s statutory School Admission Code, admission authorities are required to consult on their admission arrangements whenever changes are proposed, and in any event, at least once every seven years. This process ensures transparency and gives stakeholders the opportunity to provide feedback on proposed changes.
For the 2027–2028 academic year, it is proposed to change the published admission number (PAN) for both Colne Primet Academy and West Craven High School. The PAN determines the maximum number of pupils that will be admitted to each year group.
In accordance with statutory guidance from the Department for Education, this consultation will run for a minimum of six weeks. As an interested party at one or both of the above schools, Pendle Education Trust is keen to hear your views on the proposed changes to the admission arrangements. We warmly invite you to participate in the consultation and share any comments or feedback you may have regarding this matter.
Full details of the proposed admission arrangements are available as part of this consultation and can be viewed in the PDFs at the bottom of this web page. We welcome your views and encourage you to participate in the consultation process. All responses to the consultation should be made in writing and submitted before 12pm on Friday 12th December to:
