    Pastoral Care

Pastoral needs of students are of upmost importance at Colne Primet Academy. Each student will attend a daily tutor group where there will be a key focus on personal development. Students will also attend weekly assemblies addressing key points or issues raised throughout the year.

Students are also rewarded for developing and demonstrating our core values, by showing they are Progressing, Respectful, Inclusive, Motivated, Expressive and Together. These are the characteristics we want our students to develop to help them to be successful. Students are awarded Positive Points for these, which are celebrated each half term in assemblies.

Heads of Year and Pastoral Support Assistants

The core of our Pastoral Team are the Heads of Year and Pastoral Support Assistant for each year group. Details of who they are for each year group are in our Parent Handbook.

    Form Tutors

Each student has a Form Tutor whose role is to support your child and be a consistent supportive adult presence throughout the year. Form Tutors will be a link between students, staff and the pastoral support team making sure that your child is aware of their day to day responsibilities.

They will also be a key contact for you as parents/carers. Tutors will pass on key information to students, give updates on progress, attendance and keep your child updated on the school information that is important to them (trips, clubs and other activities).
