‘Proud to be PRIMET’
As a student at Colne Primet Academy, you will enhance your study programme with opportunities and enrichment activities that will stand you in good stead for your future.
During a typical day, you will study a range of subjects, applying both academic knowledge and practical experience. There will be a strong focus on Maths, English and ICT throughout your classes, as well as an opportunity to develop social, moral and cultural interests.
In Year 10, your study programme will be individualised further – being tailored to your personal interests, career aims and aspirations as you begin your GCSEs.
As well as developing within the classroom, all students are encouraged to attend trips to enhance their knowledge of the chosen subject and take part in extra-curricular activities ranging from sports clubs and competitions, the challenging Duke of Edinburgh Awards, to our gardening club and beyond. In our most recent Ofsted report it was stated “There is a variety of extra-curricular activities and clubs, including sports clubs, trips and visits, after-school revision sessions and charity fundraising which contribute well to pupils’ personal development.”
