    School Transport

There are school buses which students can use and that stop directly outside the school, by the pedestrian access gate at the top of Gill Street (also referred to as the Bus Turn Around). These bus routes are operated by private coach companies on behalf of Lancashire County Council.

More information about the school bus service is available on the Lancashire County Council website:

    https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/children-education-families/schools/school-transport/

Starting secondary school often means children will be making their own way to and from school for the first time, including using public transport on their own.

If you intend to get to school using one of the school bus services, there are some important things you need to know.

Get your bus pass as early as possible – sometimes the school buses can get full and you would have to rely on service buses.

Make sure you know where the bus stop is and what time you need to be there – always arrive early.

If you have questions regarding the various bus services and which one will suit you best, contact School Transport Enquiries on – 0300 123 6738.
